Biography
I am an experienced and creative senior cancer rehabilitation professional with a clinical background in dietetics. I have considerable experience of managing and leading a wide range of professionals and services within cancer rehabilitation.
My areas of expertise include: the holistic supportive care of people with cancer, raising the profile of cancer rehabilitation and ensuring better access for patients to cancer rehabilitation services. I am also experienced in the complex issues of multi-professional teams working across boundaries and agencies, and resource allocation. I specialise in organisational behaviour, the role of management and leadership in healthcare delivery, the practical application of leadership and management skills in the workplace and talent management.
I am a partner at Dowling and Drew (established with Claire Drew), advisers in implementing lean process, quality systems and best practice. The partnership specialises in working with safety critical systems, bringing together the classic theories and practices of systems engineering, management and leadership.
