I am a diagnostic radiographer by profession and work as an assistant professor in radiography and diagnostic imaging in the School of Medicine and Medical Science at University College Dublin.
My Fellowship was conducted in New Zealand and focused on approaches to Non-Accidental Injury in Children. My professional experiences led me to this topic when X-raying children, and I was also personally interested in interdisciplinary working between the professions and professionals in this area.
The Fellowship gave me an insight and opportunity to explore other cultures and their ways of working in this area, and I feel privileged to call myself a Churchill Fellow. The Fellowship encouraged me to explore new ways of working, which I have incorporated into my lecturing and research.
