Biography

I am based in Perth, Western Australia, providing governance and strategy consultancy services to government, private and not-for-profit organisations.

My Fellowship was for researching innovative prevention and rehabilitation methods used with young offenders and young people at risk of offending, drawing experience from services operating in San Francisco and Ireland.

I followed my Fellowship with a ten-year career in the not-for-profit sector in the UK, working in homelessness, addiction services and with offenders inside and outside prison. On moving to Australia I became a management consultant, then had the opportunity to lead two health start-up companies, successfully selling one of them.

Throughout all jobs I have drawn on the research skills developed during the Fellowship and continued to seek innovative approaches to work problems, an opportunity I could explore during the Fellowship. This was particularly helpful when running start-up companies.

I now combine my passion for governance and desire to deliver effective services to young offenders by working on not-for-profit boards.
