Biography

I am Founder of hyperlocal online TV channel HexhamTV. My 1986 Fellowship was on multi-agency approaches to drug abuse. This work built on my extensive experience of cross-sector partnership building to prevent and reduce crime in London while serving at New Scotland Yard and in local communities.

During my Fellowship I visited the USA and Canada and brought back examples of international good practice that was shared with senior police officers, NGOs, local authorities and others. I subsequently went on to lecture at the then Bramshill Police Staff College on partnership approaches to reduce crime and also at the then National Police Crime Prevention College on crime reduction. While seconded to the Home Office I ran a team of police officers sharing best crime reduction practice with the 43 police forces in England and Wales.

Due to my extensive partnership experience in crime reduction, I was seconded to The Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum and worked with leaders of local councils, senior corporate leaders and chief executives of NGOs on effective ways to work in partnership in the USA, South Africa, Brazil, and Central and Eastern Europe.
