Biography

I am now retired following a career in local government and over 20 years in alumni relations at three UK universities.

My Fellowship looked at ways in which US universities encouraged their former students to help current students and recent graduates with their careers. It was especially focused on how those who don't have a background of higher education or access to an 'old boy network' benefit from making connections.

As a result of the Fellowship, I initiated a series of activities jointly with our careers office to enable alumni to share their experience and also to act as mentors to current students. I also disseminated my findings and experience through my professional organisation.
