Biography
The aim of my Fellowship was to look at the development of subtitles in television. As a deaf person who uses sign language, I have always had an interest and had some involvement in the development of TV subtitles in the 1980s.
I later decided to develop sign language interpretation of mainstream theatre shows. I founded Theatresign in 1998, which has grown to be the largest provider of sign language interpreted performances in the UK.
