British Council supports our new arts category

We are delighted to announce that our new Fellowship category, Arts for the Built Environment, will be supported by the British Council for 2020. They will provide expertise and publicity in this field.

The British Council have been a dedicated partner of the Fellowship since 2015, supported our arts awards for artists, designers and craftspeople. Their Architecture, Design, Fashion (ADF) department creates links between designers and cultural institutions around the world, through a diverse range of projects across the three disciplines.

João Guarantani, Acting Director, Architecture Design Fashion at British Council, said: "We have worked with the Churchill Fellowship for a number of years providing connections for architects, designers and makers on the ground through our international networks. We are thrilled to continue this partnership and support fellows now in the Built Environment category and help them promote their fellowship outcomes."

This year’s new category explores the innovative use of any of the arts for the built environment, including contemporary and heritage arts, crafts and design in any genre, and applies to public or private space. Projects may relate to designing, making, commissioning, access, education or commercial uses, and we particularly encourage applications from practitioners in these areas, including architects.
