Tech for all

Tech for all

Introduction

This year we are offering a Fellowship theme on Tech for All. We will be seeking applications that explore technology’s potential to work better for everyone. This may be through technical, policy, social, business or other solutions. More information is below.

We will open again for Fellowship applications in 2023. You can sign up for application alerts by email here.

We are particularly interested in projects that explore any of the following:

  • Innovative approaches to meeting individual or societal requirements at the moment of need, through the design, development and creation of smart, personalised and assistive technologies.
  • Solutions to making new and existing technologies easier to use and understand.
  • Approaches to tackling the different barriers people face in accessing, acquiring and engaging with technologies.
  • Initiatives that aim to strengthen protections and privacy.

We will prioritise projects that explore collaborative, user-centred approaches and that facilitate greater co-creation between designers and end users.

Fellows in this theme form part of a dedicated community specialising in this area, with tailored opportunities for support and networking in this field.

This theme is guided by our Tech For All Working Group of Fellows and other experts in this field.

See Fellows' impact in this theme.

We recognise our responsibility to the environment through our Fellowship programme and our operations. Our progress on this is explained here.
